Admission Procedure
Nairobi Christian Academy provides a learning opportunity for learners of all abilities. We admit children from the age of 2½ years and above. The criterion of entry is based on the age of the child, assessment outcome and availability of space.
Admissions are accepted at any time of the academic year with the exception of class 8 and, for the interview student need to bring along a report from the previous school.
A prospective parent is invited to visit the school where you will be furnished with all the information that you need and if you have any questions about any specific areas of concern will be answered.
Currently we are using the Competency Based Curriculum for the PP1 to Grade 5, and 8-4-4 curriculum for class 5 to 8.
For the reception class and the PP1: the child wins a direct entry.
PP2 to Grade 3: an assessment is done to provide the teacher with the idea of the child’s needs and strengths. Children are never the same, therefore this will enable the teacher know how to deal with the different weaknesses in the child and how to maximize his or her strength.
Grade 4 to Class 8: an interview is conducted where the child will have a written exam. The interview is meant to test the child’s ability in different areas but majorly mathematics and English.
A child is issued with an admission form, list of requirements and uniform list upon passing the interview.
